Inside Change Virtual Class #2
Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM (PDT)
Most change efforts fail, estimates range from 60 to 90%.
But what about the successes? What are the critical ingredients that make change work? It turns out there are three critical ingredients - do you know what they are? And how can we put those in place to accelerate individual, team, and organizational change?
Joshua Freedman, author of the new book Inside Change, will share the latest neuroscience of change and how it informs a practical process for driving organizational change through individual transformation.
You will learn:
- What blocks most change
- A practical roadmap for planning the people-side of change
- How others are coping the with the rapid pace change we're all facing
Inside Change offers a new perspective on change -- recognizing that change is fundamentally a human process, and that people are driven by emotion. Rather than ignoring that and hoping emotions won't get in the way, the book shows leaders how to plan for and manage the emotional side of transformation - starting on the inside.
We will meet in our "virtual classroom" where we can all see and hear one another - please have a webcam working, and a headset or earphones if you use audio via your computer.
This is a free program for members of Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Network -- and you are invited to join us. Our schedule of upcoming teleclasses is linked from www.6seconds.org/training
When you register, you'll be asked these three questions - just a brief answer is fine... will help us make the most of the session!
- What is a change your involved in or planning or facing right now?
- As you consider this change, what are some of the "people-side" challenges?
- If you could "wave your magic wand" what one thing about the change would you make easier?
